Date Spot Review: Pizzicotto
Pizzicotto is a lovely neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff, consistently good food, and a quaint atmosphere that would make for a lovely date spot.
You know the place has a lot of regulars because when patrons enter, many are greeted with personal hellos from the very friendly hostess and waiters. It gives the restaurant a very homey and intimate feel. If you would like something customized on the menu, Pizzicotto is always happy to accommodate which is really nice for a date when you’re not sure of the other persons dietary preferences (In LA we all have a lot).
The food is always good and you could pick anything from the menu and be happy. They have a special soup everyday and they are delicious; always good and I always order one to start. The pizza is well prepared and a good way to share the beginning of your meal. I really like the Rusticum Pizza with smoked procuitto, baby arugula, fresh tomatoes and mozzarella ($17.95). The Risotto Di Mare with with shrimp, sea scallops, clams and calamari in a lightly spicy tomato lemon and white wine sauce ($22.95) is also a good choice. Typically I get bored with risotto but this has so many ingredients that every bite is yummy. For dessert I like the Torta Della Nonna ($8). It’s traditional and well done. When you visit always check the specials! They have a lot every day and they are often some of the best items on the menu.
This warm and tasty restaurant is a wonderful place for a date. Please tell us what you think!
